    • Over thirty years in professional liability coverage litigation, including reported appellate opinions on Prior Awareness coverage defense; rescission; no duty to defend during rescission action; retroactive date enforcement; and Illinois victory in $35 million case denying coverage for major Chicago law firm.
    • Litigated major professional liability coverage cases and directly defended hundreds of claims and lawsuits against insurance and securities brokers, managing general agents, attorneys, accountants, adjusters, appraisers, architects, engineers, safety consultants, title abstractors, title agents, real estate managers, and other non-medical professionals. These include $26 million judgment for insured broker against insurance carrier for carrier’s insured condo developer; successful defense of accountants in $2 million Wisconsin case on preferred stock recapitalization; dismissal of action against international surplus lines broker; etc.
    • National coverage and monitoring counsel for insurers on professional liability programs, including affinity group insurance programs for insurance brokers, A&E, safety professionals, and property managers.
    • Handles a significant volume of CGL coverage matters, including representation of excess liability insurers on standard ISO forms and on Bermuda forms insuring Fortune 1000 companies; and coverage for various entertainment venues.
    • Advises insurer clients on policy drafting, claims management oversight, and loss prevention strategies for national programs, including use of waivers and arbitration clauses.
