Mr. Morrissey concentrates his practice in the areas of complex insurance coverage, construction law and commercial litigation. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Morrissey became an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, where he practiced for three years and tried several jury trials to verdict as well as over a hundred bench trials. He was eventually promoted to the Narcotics Bureau’s Special Prosecutions Strike Force, where he prosecuted high profile and complex narcotics trafficking cases.

Mr. Morrissey joined the Firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2006. He has litigated complex civil matters nationally, as well as appeals to the Illinois Appellate Court for the First, Second and Fifth Districts, the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Mr. Morrissey is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Seventh Circuit Bar Association.

Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa (1991)
J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois (1997)

Bar Admissions:
Admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1997. Also admitted to the general and trial bar in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Eleventh Circuits.
